Race Farm is a fourth generation, fruit and vegetable farm, that has been producing quality produce for over 70 years. With so many years of agricultural and horticultural experience, we are able to provide the best quality plants, fruits, vegetables, herbs, eggs, cider, bakery products, honey, and now landscape designing and services to all of our customers.
Established in 1938, by Carl S. Race Sr., Race Farm was transformed from an old dairy farm into a large vegetable farm, with some fruit. When Carl S. Race Jr. was of age, he added significantly more fruit, with apples being the predominate fruit. With time and another generation, Doug became actively involved in the family farm. Farming full-time at the age of 18, he added more vegetable crops and small fruits and berries. In 2005, Ryan, the fourth generation of farming Race's, joined the farm full time, after receiving his Associated Degree in Agricultural Engineering Technologies at SUNY Cobleskill. The first Race to attend and graduate college!
Farming over 100 acres, the Race's still maintain the same quality in all of our products, and pass it along to our customers, who have come to expect nothing but the best, in quality and freshness. Buy Local, Buy Fresh!
